August went by so quickly and we are all geared up to welcome the Service Year. Here is how our month went …

Gearing Up for the Service Year!

It doesn’t matter if we are limited because of health problems. Our zeal will never grow dim, our love will never grow cold, our faith will never waver, our hope will ever shine brighter. We know that’s what really matters. Have a wonderful service year.

Envelopes Going Fast

We are looking for donations of envelopes for our letter-writing activity. Self-sealing envelopes are preferred. You can order envelopes online and have them delivered to Legacy (attn: Sabra Bonnor) or you can drop them off. Thank you for your generous donations. Our residents truly love participating in this form of their ministry!

Siblings Together

Nina, Teri, and Dennis. These fleshly siblings all live in Legacy Place. After a long faithful life serving Jehovah, it’s a privilege to have them with us in Legacy Place.

Announcement- Visitation

Indoor visitation in our Personal Care building has been suspended. Outside visitation is available for our Personal Care residents. Memory Care residents can accept indoor or outdoor visitation.

Painting in our Memory Care building

We had the painting class for our residents at the Memory Care building too. 👨‍🎨🎨

Painting helps us use both sides of our brains simultaneously. This helps creativity and increases cognitive function. Some studies suggest that creative activities slow down the development of memory disorders and conditions such as Dementia and Alzheimer’s disease. The painting process also creates an opportunity for seniors to express themselves in ways that they are not able to through communication.

Hope you have a wonderful month ahead!
