May 25 Monthly Update in Legacy Place Senior Assisted Living

We have had a great time in May. Hope you have too. Here are some Highlights.

Working with Nature

Working with plants calms and soothes our minds and gives us a deep sense of satisfaction.

🪴We had a wonderful horticultural activity planned with the residents. They enjoyed working with nature and learning about these plants. A big shoutout to our activities coordinator and staff who thoughtfully plan out activities like these.

Have you read our blog on how activities help older ones? Here is a look: https://www.legacyplace.org/senior-care/importance-of-planning-activities-for-older-ones/

Broadway at Legacy

Who doesn’t love a good musical! And our residents are no different. We have some true musical enthusiasts among us, so our staff decided to bring Broadway into the home! The entertainer put on a great show and had us singing along and tapping our feet to some old favorites.

Telephone witnessing

Telephone witnessing together at Legacy Place. Our residents are ever so grateful for this form of witnessing. Their zeal for the ministry still burns so brightly and it’s encouraging to see how they put their heart into preaching to others in the best way they can.

Puzzled!

Ooh we’re on to the next puzzle already! Stay tuned to see how we get on. Little projects like these help older ones feel engaged and gives them a sense of purpose and satisfaction. We love how everyone has a dab at it as they come and go. We’re excited to see the results!
