Hello everyone,

Hope this finds you all well! We have been happily busy at Legacy Place. Here are some highlights 🙂

Duckies at Legacy Place! 🐣

These adorable little ducklings had all our attention!

Spending time with animals has manifold benefits. Here are some proven benefits of pet therapy:

  1. Decreases feelings of loneliness – A study published by the National Library of Medicine says that the human-animal bond may provide help by reducing boredom, increasing bodily activity, decreasing loneliness by improving social interactions, and improving mood.
  2. Reduces stress- An article by the National Institute of Health suggests that interacting with animals is known to decrease levels of cortisol (an stress-related hormone) and lower blood pressure.

Sabra our activities director with Geri and Judy

Sabra works tirelessly to plan and execute activities for older ones. Our hardworking carers and staff put in their all to provide more than just the basic needs of our residents.

Spiritual activities like meeting preparation, and letter and phone witnessing are proactively planned out so that the residents can have an active share in the ministry and meetings.

In addition, we have many fun activities that are planned through the day.
